For over 95 years the Los Angeles Transportation Club (LATC) has played a leading role in the Southern California community.
For over 95 years, Los Angeles Transportation Club has played a leading role in the Southern California community. LATC is a non-profit organization that is composed of individuals and companies that are a part of the transportation industry. From retailers to truckers, from railroad companies to steamship lines, all walks of the transportation industry are welcome at LATC. The membership and attendance of our events go directly towards supporting our Southern California charities and scholarship endowments. LATC has donated hundreds of thousands of dollars over the years to help improve our Southern California communities.
Los Angeles Transportation Club is a gathering of transportation professionals from all across Southern California. Together, we are able to share ideas and solutions with each other and help each other to grow and learn about the transportation industry. We are more than a club, we are a community. We come together for meetings, enjoying food and having enriching conversations together, as well as receiving a professional keynote presentation.
LATC (EIN 95-0952000) is a not-for-profit, tax exempt corporation designated under Section 501(c) (6) of the Internal Revenue Code. Contributions and funds made available are not deductible as charitable contributions as defined in Section 170(c) of the Code but may be deducted as necessary and ordinary business expenses in accordance with the Code. Please contact your tax adviser with any questions about your particular situation.
At LATC, we also want to build and foster community both within and out of the transportation industry. That’s why we organize various charity events and have raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for various Charities including the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Habitat for Humanity-Orange County, Make-A-Wish Foundation of Greater Los Angeles, as well as offering Scholarships for general membership. Our number one priority is to make sure that this club provides value to its members and the community at large.
Over the years, the LATC has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for various Charities, that include the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Habitat for Humanity-Orange County, Make-A-Wish Foundation of Greater Los Angeles, City of Hope, Ronald McDonald House and Sharefest as well as offering Scholarships to the general membership (General application) & CSULB applicants (GLS-CITT Application) to hundreds of young people.
In addition to the scholarships, LATC was one of the founding groups to establish the CSULB Richard Hollingsworth Endowment and the LATC Endowment at CSULB. Join us at our events.
We value our members. We know that you are working to improve your own skills and knowledge and that is why we host meetings where our members can gain high impact wisdom. We generally have 150 attendees together for a meeting that includes dinner, a keynote presentation, and a question and answer session by a high profile industry executive leader. These meetings are amazing opportunities to learn from others in the field and to have illuminating conversations with fellow members in a friendly environment.
These meetings are also a great chance to network with people and companies who represent hundreds of retailers, manufacturers, importers, educators, students, and service providers throughout the entire Southern California region. Along with our meetings, we hold our annual Golf Tournament and Scholarship Fundraiser as well. The tournament has up to 144 golf participants and is held annually in Spring.
